Archduchess Maria Josepha of Austria (6 March 1687 – 14 April 1703) was a member of the House of Habsburg and an Archduchess of Austria. She was born in Vienna, the daughter of Leopold I, Holy Roman Emperor and his third wife, Eleonor Magdalene of Neuburg.

Maria Josepha was born into the prominent House of Habsburg, a dynasty that played a significant role in European history. Her father, Leopold I, Holy Roman Emperor, was a key figure in the Holy Roman Empire, and her mother, Eleonor Magdalene of Neuburg, was known for her piety and charitable works.

Maria Josepha was one of several children born to Leopold I and Eleonor Magdalene. Her siblings included notable figures such as Joseph I, Holy Roman Emperor and Charles VI, Holy Roman Emperor. The Habsburg family was known for its extensive political connections and influence across Europe.
