Aries is the first astrological sign in the zodiac, spanning the first 30 degrees of celestial longitude (0° ≤ λ < 30°). Under the tropical zodiac, the Sun transits this sign mostly between March 21 and April 19 each year. This time duration is exactly the first month of the Solar Hijri calendar (Arabic Hamal/Persian Farvardin/Urdu Hamal). According to the astrological beliefs, Aries is a fire sign and is one of the four cardinal signs.

Aries is ruled by the planet Mars, which is associated with energy, aggression, and action. People born under the sign of Aries are often described as enthusiastic, dynamic, and confident. They are known for their pioneering spirit and their ability to take initiative. However, they can also be impulsive and impatient.

  • Positive Traits: Courageous, determined, confident, enthusiastic, optimistic, honest, passionate.
  • Negative Traits: Impatient, moody, short-tempered, impulsive, aggressive.
