The Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute (AFRRI) is a United States Department of Defense (DoD) research institute that focuses on the biological effects of ionizing radiation and the development of medical countermeasures to radiation exposure. AFRRI is part of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) and is located in Bethesda, Maryland.

AFRRI was established in 1961 in response to the growing need for research on the effects of radiation on military personnel. The institute was created to provide the DoD with the capability to conduct research on the biological effects of radiation and to develop medical countermeasures to protect military personnel from radiation exposure.
