Augend

Augend is a term used in mathematics to refer to the number to which another number, called the addend, is added. In the arithmetic operation of addition, the augend is the initial quantity, and the addend is the quantity that is added to it. The result of this operation is called the sum.

a + b = c

a is the augend, b is the addend, and c is the sum. The augend is the starting point of the addition process.
