Axa XL is a division of Axa, a global insurance and reinsurance company. Axa XL was formed through the acquisition of the XL Group by Axa in 2018. The division provides property, casualty, professional, financial lines, and specialty insurance products, as well as reinsurance solutions.

Axa XL's origins can be traced back to the founding of the XL Group in 1986. The XL Group was initially established to provide excess liability insurance. Over the years, the company expanded its offerings and grew through various acquisitions and mergers. In 2018, the Axa Group acquired the XL Group, creating Axa XL as a new division within Axa.
