Bōsō Peninsula

Bōsō Peninsula (Bōsō-hantō) is a peninsula located in Chiba Prefecture, Japan. It forms the eastern edge of Tokyo Bay, separating it from the Pacific Ocean. The peninsula covers approximately 5,000 square kilometers and is known for its natural beauty, including the Awa Shrine, Kujūkuri Beach, and Mount Nokogiri.

The Bōsō Peninsula is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean to the east and Tokyo Bay to the west. It is bordered to the north by the Edogawa River and to the south by the Uraga Channel. The peninsula's terrain is characterized by rolling hills and plateaus, with the highest point being Mount Atago at 408 meters.

The Bōsō Peninsula has a humid subtropical climate, with hot, humid summers and mild winters. The peninsula is also subject to the typhoon season, which typically occurs between May and October.
