Bandar Seri Begawan
Bandar Seri Begawan is the capital city of Brunei, a small nation on the island of Borneo in Southeast Asia. It is the largest city in Brunei and serves as the political, economic, and cultural center of the country.

The city was originally known as Brunei Town. It was renamed Bandar Seri Begawan on 4 October 1970 in honor of Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien III, who abdicated in 1967. The name "Seri Begawan" is derived from the Sanskrit words "Sri" meaning "blessed" and "Bhagavan" meaning "lord."

Bandar Seri Begawan is located on the northern bank of the Brunei River, near its mouth on Brunei Bay. The city covers an area of approximately 100.36 square kilometers.

The city experiences a tropical rainforest climate, characterized by high humidity and heavy rainfall throughout the year. The average temperature ranges from 24°C to 32°C.
