Barilla (company)
Barilla S.p.A. is an Italian food company that is known for its production of pasta and ready-to-use sauces. It was founded in 1877 in Parma, Italy by Pietro Barilla. The company has grown to become one of the leading pasta manufacturers in the world, with a presence in over 100 countries.

The company was founded by Pietro Barilla in 1877 as a bakery and pasta shop in Parma, Italy. In 1910, the company opened its first pasta factory. The company continued to grow and expand, and by the 1950s, it had become one of the largest pasta producers in Italy. In 1971, the company was sold to the American company W.R. Grace, but it was bought back by the Barilla family in 1979. Today, the company is still owned and operated by the Barilla family.

Barilla produces a wide range of pasta products, including spaghetti, penne, and lasagne. The company also produces ready-to-use sauces, such as tomato and basil, and pesto. In addition to pasta and sauces, Barilla also produces bakery products, such as breadsticks and crackers.
