Barthélémy Dumortier

Barthélemy Charles Joseph Dumortier (Tournai, 3 April 1797 – 1878) was a Belgian botanist and politician. Some consider him to be the true discoverer of cell division, although he is rarely credited as such.[1] His 1832 paper deals with this topic.[2]
