Beck's Brewery
Beck's Brewery is a German brewery in the northern German city of Bremen. Founded in 1873, it is known for its pilsner-style beer, which is one of the best-selling German beers worldwide.
History[edit | edit source]
Beck's Brewery was established in 1873 by Heinrich Beck, Thomas May, and Lüder Rutenberg. The brewery quickly gained a reputation for its high-quality beer, which was brewed according to the Reinheitsgebot, the German Beer Purity Law of 1516. This law stipulates that beer can only be made from water, barley, and hops.
Products[edit | edit source]
The flagship product of Beck's Brewery is Beck's Pilsner, a pale lager with a distinctive taste. Other products include:
- Beck's Gold
- Beck's Blue (non-alcoholic)
- Beck's Green Lemon
- Beck's Dark
- Beck's Premier Light
International Presence[edit | edit source]
Beck's Brewery exports its beer to over 120 countries. The brand is particularly popular in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Italy. Beck's is brewed under license in several countries, ensuring that the beer maintains its quality and taste.
Ownership[edit | edit source]
In 2002, Beck's Brewery was acquired by Anheuser-Busch InBev, one of the largest brewing companies in the world. Despite the acquisition, Beck's continues to be brewed in Bremen, maintaining its German heritage.
Marketing[edit | edit source]
Beck's Brewery is known for its innovative marketing campaigns. The brand has sponsored various music and art events, aligning itself with a youthful and creative demographic. The iconic green bottle and key logo are recognized symbols of the brand.
