Belvedere (vodka)
Belvedere (vodka) is a brand of Polish vodka produced and distributed by LVMH. It is named after Belweder, the Polish presidential palace, whose illustration appears on its bottles. It is produced exclusively in Poland in the town of Żyrardów and has worldwide distribution.
History[edit | edit source]
Belvedere vodka was first introduced to the United States in 1996 by the company Millennium Import LLC. It was one of the first super-premium vodkas to be introduced to the American market, and it quickly gained popularity for its distinctive character and uncompromising quality.
Production[edit | edit source]
Belvedere vodka is made from Dankowskie Gold Rye, a superior grade of rye grain known for its high starch content. The rye is cultivated in the Mazovian plains of Poland, a region known for its fertile soil and ideal rye-growing conditions. The vodka is distilled four times and diluted with water from Belvedere's own artesian wells, ensuring a high level of purity and taste.
Varieties[edit | edit source]
Belvedere produces a variety of flavored vodkas in addition to its classic unflavored version. These include citrus, black raspberry, mango passion, and wild berry. Each flavor is created using natural ingredients, with no added sugar or artificial flavorings.
Awards and recognition[edit | edit source]
Belvedere vodka has received numerous awards for its quality and taste. It was awarded a gold medal at the 2007 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, and it has been rated highly by the Beverage Testing Institute and Wine Enthusiast magazine.
In popular culture[edit | edit source]
Belvedere vodka has been featured in numerous films and television shows, including the James Bond film Spectre, where it was the official vodka of the film.
