Berliner Morgenpost
Berliner Morgenpost is a German newspaper, based in Berlin, that has been published since 1898. The Berliner Morgenpost was first published on the 20th of December, 1898. The newspaper was initially a four-page broadsheet, and it was published six days a week. The Berliner Morgenpost quickly gained popularity due to its comprehensive coverage of local news and events. During the Weimar Republic era, the newspaper was known for its liberal political stance.
In 1945, the Berliner Morgenpost was temporarily shut down by the Allied Control Council due to its association with the Nazi Party. However, the newspaper was allowed to resume publication in 1949.
In 1952, the Berliner Morgenpost was acquired by the Axel Springer Verlag, a major German publishing company. Under the new ownership, the newspaper expanded its coverage to include national and international news. In 2014, the Berliner Morgenpost was sold to the Funke Mediengruppe.
