BirdLife International is a global partnership of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that strives to conserve birds and their habitats. Established in 1922, BirdLife International is dedicated to the protection of birds and biodiversity worldwide. The organization operates in over 120 countries and territories, working through a network of partner organizations.

BirdLife International was originally founded as the International Council for Bird Preservation (ICBP) in 1922. The organization was rebranded as BirdLife International in 1993 to better reflect its mission and global reach.
