Blood and Sand is a 1922 American silent film directed by Fred Niblo. The film stars Rudolph Valentino, Lila Lee, and Nita Naldi. It is based on the 1909 Spanish novel Blood and Sand by Vicente Blasco Ibáñez.

The story follows Juan Gallardo, a young man from a poor family who rises to fame as a celebrated bullfighter. His success brings him wealth and adoration, but also leads him into a life of excess and moral decline. He becomes entangled with the seductive Doña Sol, which leads to his downfall. Ultimately, Juan's reckless lifestyle and the dangerous nature of his profession culminate in tragedy.

The film was produced by Famous Players-Lasky and distributed by Paramount Pictures. The screenplay was written by June Mathis, who had previously worked with Valentino on The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. The cinematography was handled by Alvin Wyckoff.

Blood and Sand was a major success upon its release, solidifying Rudolph Valentino's status as a leading star of the silent film era. The film was praised for its dramatic intensity and the performances of its lead actors.
