Boss Brewing
Boss Brewing is a craft brewery located in the heart of the industrial landscape of Swansea, Wales. Founded in 2015 by Sarah John and Roy Allkin, Boss Brewing has quickly established itself as a key player in the Welsh craft beer scene, known for its innovative approach to brewing and its diverse range of beers. From its inception, the brewery has focused on creating high-quality, flavorful beers that appeal to a wide audience, from seasoned ale enthusiasts to those new to the craft beer world.
History[edit | edit source]
The story of Boss Brewing began when co-founders Sarah John and Roy Allkin decided to turn their passion for craft beer into a business. With a modest setup in a former industrial unit, they started brewing small batches of beer, experimenting with different styles and flavors. Their dedication to quality and innovation paid off, and Boss Brewing quickly outgrew its original premises. In 2018, the brewery moved to a larger facility, a historic copperworks site in Swansea, allowing for increased production capacity and the introduction of a taproom where visitors can sample the brewery's offerings.
Beers[edit | edit source]
Boss Brewing produces a wide range of beers, including traditional ales, stouts, IPAs, and lagers, as well as seasonal and limited-edition brews. Some of their flagship beers include:
- Boss Black: A rich, complex stout with notes of coffee and chocolate.
- Boss Blonde: A light, refreshing blonde ale with a subtle hoppy finish.
- Boss IPA: A bold, aromatic India Pale Ale with a balanced bitterness.
The brewery has received numerous awards for its beers, highlighting its commitment to quality and flavor.
