Brahim Takioullah was born on January 26, 1982, in Guelmim, Morocco. He grew up in a small village in the southern part of the country. From a young age, Takioullah exhibited signs of gigantism, a condition characterized by excessive growth due to an overproduction of growth hormone.

Takioullah's extraordinary height is attributed to acromegaly, a disorder that results from excess growth hormone after the growth plates have closed. This condition is often caused by a benign tumor on the pituitary gland. In Takioullah's case, the condition led to his remarkable height of 8 feet 1 inch (2.46 meters), making him one of the tallest living people in the world.
