Branislav Blažić (1 April 1957 – 1 April 2020) was a Serbian politician and environmentalist who served as the Minister of Environmental Protection from 1998 to 2000. He was a prominent member of the Serbian Radical Party and later the Serbian Progressive Party.

Early Life and Education[edit | edit source]

Branislav Blažić was born on 1 April 1957 in Kikinda, a town in the northern part of Serbia. He completed his primary and secondary education in Kikinda before enrolling at the University of Belgrade, where he studied veterinary medicine. Blažić graduated with a degree in veterinary science, which laid the foundation for his interest in environmental and public health issues.

Political Career[edit | edit source]

Blažić began his political career as a member of the Serbian Radical Party (SRS), a nationalist political party in Serbia. He quickly rose through the ranks due to his dedication and leadership skills. In 1998, he was appointed as the Minister of Environmental Protection in the government of Serbia, a position he held until 2000.
