BreadTalk Group Limited is a Singaporean multinational food and beverage corporation headquartered in Paya Lebar, Singapore.

BreadTalk was founded in July 2000 by George Quek, who is also the chairman of the company. The first BreadTalk outlet was opened in Bugis Junction, Singapore. Since then, the company has rapidly expanded its operations, with more than 1000 outlets in 17 countries as of 2020.

Business Operations[edit | edit source]

BreadTalk's business operations are divided into four segments: Bakery, Restaurant, Food Atrium, and 4orth Food Concepts. The Bakery segment is involved in the manufacture and sale of bakery products through the company's BreadTalk outlets. The Restaurant segment operates Din Tai Fung restaurants in Singapore and Thailand. The Food Atrium segment operates food courts under the Food Republic and Food Junction brands. The 4orth Food Concepts segment operates restaurants under various brands including Song Fa Bak Kut Teh, So Ramen, and Nayuki.

BreadTalk's product range includes a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and other bakery items. Some of the company's signature products include the Flosss bun, Fire Flosss, and Golden Lava Cheese Tart. The company is known for its innovative and creative approach to bread-making, often incorporating local flavors and ingredients into its products.

BreadTalk has received numerous awards and accolities for its products and services. These include the World Branding Awards, Singapore Prestige Brand Award, and the Franchising & Licensing Association (Singapore)'s Franchisor of the Year award.
