Brian Grant

Brian Grant was born on March 5, 1972, in Columbus, Ohio. He grew up in Georgetown, Ohio, where he attended Georgetown High School. During his high school years, Grant excelled in basketball, earning recognition for his skills on the court.
College Career[edit | edit source]
Grant attended Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he played college basketball for the Xavier Musketeers. He was a standout player, known for his rebounding and defensive abilities. Grant's performance at Xavier earned him a reputation as one of the top power forwards in college basketball.
NBA Career[edit | edit source]
Brian Grant was selected by the Sacramento Kings as the 8th overall pick in the 1994 NBA Draft. He played for the Kings from 1994 to 1997, where he quickly became known for his toughness and work ethic.
Portland Trail Blazers[edit | edit source]
In 1997, Grant signed with the Portland Trail Blazers. During his time with the Blazers, he became a fan favorite due to his tenacity and leadership on the court. Grant played a key role in the Blazers' playoff runs in the late 1990s.
Miami Heat[edit | edit source]
In 2000, Grant was traded to the Miami Heat. He continued to be a valuable player, contributing to the team's success with his defensive prowess and ability to score in the paint.

Grant joined the Los Angeles Lakers in 2004. Although his time with the Lakers was marred by injuries, he remained a respected veteran presence in the locker room.

After retiring from the NBA, Brian Grant became an advocate for Parkinson's disease awareness. He was diagnosed with the disease in 2008 and has since worked to raise awareness and support for those affected by it.

Brian Grant is married and has children. He is actively involved in charitable work and founded the Brian Grant Foundation, which focuses on improving the quality of life for people with Parkinson's disease.
