Bulrush refers to several large, aquatic, herbaceous plants belonging to the sedge family, Cyperaceae. These plants are commonly found in wetlands, marshes, and on the edges of ponds and lakes. Bulrushes are characterized by their tall, stiff stems and are often confused with reeds and cattails, though they belong to different families.
