- Bushnell is a city located in Sumter County, Florida, United States. As of the 2010 census, the city had a total population of 2,050. It is the county seat of Sumter County. Named after John W. Bushnell, who was responsible for bringing the railroad to the community, the city was established in 1885.

- Bushnell is located at 28°39′50″N 82°6′50″W. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.3 square miles, all land.

- As of the 2010 census, there were 2,050 people, 830 households, and 548 families residing in the city. The population density was 891.3 inhabitants per square mile. There were 1,024 housing units at an average density of 445.2 per square mile.
