Busitema University Faculty of Health Sciences
Busitema University Faculty of Health Sciences is a constituent faculty of Busitema University, a public university in Uganda. Established to address the critical shortage of healthcare professionals in the country, the faculty plays a pivotal role in training competent health care professionals who are capable of addressing the health challenges within Uganda and beyond.

The Faculty of Health Sciences at Busitema University was established in response to the urgent need for more healthcare workers in Uganda. This was part of the government's broader strategy to improve healthcare delivery across the nation. The faculty was inaugurated with the aim of offering innovative and community-oriented education, research, and service in health sciences.
Programs[edit | edit source]
The faculty offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs designed to equip students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes required in the health sector. These programs include, but are not limited to, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSc Nursing), and Bachelor of Science in Public Health. The curriculum is designed to be dynamic, incorporating both theoretical knowledge and practical skills through clinical rotations and community placements.

To support its educational activities, the Faculty of Health Sciences boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including modern laboratories, lecture halls, and a library equipped with the latest medical literature. The faculty also has access to several teaching hospitals and health centers, which provide students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a real-world healthcare setting.
