Cabazon

Cabazon is a small unincorporated community located in Riverside County, California. It is situated in the San Gorgonio Pass and is known for its unique attractions and historical significance.

Cabazon was originally inhabited by the Cahuilla people, a Native American tribe. The area was later developed in the 19th century as a stop along the Southern Pacific Railroad. The community was named after the Cabazon Band of Mission Indians, who have a reservation in the area.

Cabazon is located at the base of the San Bernardino Mountains and is part of the Inland Empire region of Southern California. The community is situated near the San Andreas Fault, making it a seismically active area.

One of the most notable attractions in Cabazon is the Cabazon Dinosaurs, a roadside attraction featuring two large dinosaur sculptures. Another major attraction is the Morongo Casino, Resort & Spa, which is operated by the Morongo Band of Mission Indians. The casino is one of the largest in California and offers a variety of gaming, dining, and entertainment options. The Desert Hills Premium Outlets is a popular shopping destination in Cabazon, featuring a wide range of designer and brand-name stores.
