History[edit | edit source]

Cadby Hall was constructed in 1873 as the headquarters of the Cadby & Co. Ltd., a company specializing in the production of food products. The building was designed by architect George Aitchison in the Renaissance Revival style, featuring ornate details and grandeur.

In 1902, Cadby & Co. Ltd. was acquired by the famous British tea company, Lyons. The building continued to be used as the company's headquarters until the 1920s when Lyons moved its operations to a larger facility.

BBC Connection[edit | edit source]
