Calimero
Calimero is an Italian/Japanese animated television series about a charming little black chicken with a half eggshell still on his head. The character was created by Nino Pagot, Toni Pagot, and Ignazio Colnaghi.

Calimero first appeared on July 14, 1963, in the Italian television show Carosello. The character quickly gained popularity and became the protagonist of his own series. The original series was produced by Rai, the Italian public broadcasting company, and Toei Animation in Japan.

Calimero is distinctive for his black feathers and the half eggshell he wears on his head. He is often portrayed as a kind-hearted but misunderstood character who faces various challenges and adventures. His catchphrase, "It's an injustice, it is!", reflects his frequent encounters with unfair situations.

The 1992 series introduced new characters and settings, expanding Calimero's world. This series was also a joint Italian-Japanese production and included 52 episodes.

The 2014 CGI-animated series brought Calimero into the modern era with updated animation techniques. This series was produced by Gaumont Animation and Studio Campedelli and included 104 episodes.
