Candy Carson
Candy Carson (born August 19, 1953) is an American author and businesswoman, best known as the wife of Ben Carson, a retired neurosurgeon and former United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. She has co-authored several books with her husband and is actively involved in various charitable activities.

Candy Carson was born Lacena "Candy" Rustin in Detroit, Michigan. She attended Yale University, where she earned a degree in music. During her time at Yale, she met Ben Carson, whom she later married.
