Caravan Pictures
Caravan Pictures was an American film production company founded in 1992 by Roger Birnbaum and Joe Roth. The company was known for producing a variety of films during the 1990s before it was eventually dissolved in 1999.

Caravan Pictures was established as a joint venture between Roger Birnbaum and Joe Roth, who had previously worked together at Twentieth Century Fox. The company was created with the intention of producing high-quality, commercially successful films. Caravan Pictures entered into a distribution agreement with Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, which allowed their films to be distributed under the Buena Vista Pictures Distribution label.

Caravan Pictures produced several notable films during its operation, including:
- The Three Musketeers (1993)
- Angels in the Outfield (1994)
- While You Were Sleeping (1995)
- G.I. Jane (1997)
- Six Days, Seven Nights (1998)
Dissolution[edit | edit source]
In 1999, Joe Roth left Caravan Pictures to become the chairman of Walt Disney Studios. Following his departure, the company was dissolved. Roger Birnbaum went on to co-found Spyglass Entertainment with Gary Barber.
Legacy[edit | edit source]
Although Caravan Pictures was short-lived, it left a lasting impact on the film industry through its successful productions. Many of the films produced by Caravan Pictures continue to be popular and are considered classics of the 1990s.
