Carrs-Safeway
Carrs-Safeway is a supermarket chain operating in the state of Alaska, United States. It is a subsidiary of the larger Albertsons company. The chain was originally founded as Carrs in 1950 by Larry Carr and Barney Gottstein.

Carrs was established in Anchorage, Alaska in 1950. The founders, Larry Carr and Barney Gottstein, aimed to provide a wide range of grocery products to the local community. Over the years, Carrs expanded its operations, opening multiple stores across Alaska.
In 1999, Carrs was acquired by Safeway Inc., a major American supermarket chain. Following the acquisition, the stores were rebranded as Carrs-Safeway. In 2015, Safeway merged with Albertsons, making Carrs-Safeway a part of the Albertsons family of stores.
