Cas Spijkers (December 9, 1946 – December 7, 2011) was a renowned Dutch chef. He was born in Arnhem, Netherlands and passed away in Vught, Netherlands.
Career[edit | edit source]
Spijkers began his culinary journey by studying at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America. After completing his education, he worked at several renowned restaurants in the Netherlands, including De Swaen in Oisterwijk and De Swaen in Oisterwijk.
In 1989, Spijkers opened his own restaurant, De Swaen, in Oisterwijk. The restaurant quickly gained recognition for its innovative and creative approach to Dutch cuisine. Spijkers' culinary skills and unique style earned him three Michelin stars, making him one of the most celebrated chefs in the Netherlands.
