Central Queensland University
Central Queensland University (CQU) is an Australian public university based in Rockhampton, Queensland. Established in 1967, it has grown to become one of the largest universities in regional Australia, with multiple campuses and study centers across the country.

Central Queensland University was originally founded as the Queensland Institute of Technology (Capricornia) in 1967. It gained university status in 1992 and was renamed the University of Central Queensland. In 1994, it adopted its current name, Central Queensland University.
