Homebrewing[edit | edit source]

After graduating from college, Papazian continued to pursue his passion for homebrewing. In 1978, he co-founded the AHA, which aimed to promote and protect the rights of homebrewers. He served as the organization's president until 2019.

Papazian also played a key role in establishing the GABF, an annual beer festival that showcases a wide variety of American craft beers. The festival has grown significantly since its inception in 1982 and is now one of the largest beer festivals in the world.
