Chenopodium formosanum
Chenopodium formosanum is a species of flowering plant in the family Amaranthaceae, native to Taiwan. It is commonly known as Taiwanese Goosefoot.

Chenopodium formosanum is an annual herb that grows up to 1.5 meters tall. The leaves are alternate, simple, and entire or slightly toothed. The flowers are small, green, and arranged in dense clusters. The fruit is a small, round, black seed.
Distribution and habitat[edit | edit source]
Chenopodium formosanum is endemic to Taiwan. It grows in a variety of habitats, including grasslands, forests, and disturbed areas.
Uses[edit | edit source]
Chenopodium formosanum is used in traditional Taiwanese medicine. The leaves are used to treat digestive disorders, and the seeds are used as a food source.
Conservation status[edit | edit source]
Chenopodium formosanum is not currently listed as threatened or endangered. However, like all native species, it is vulnerable to habitat loss and other environmental changes.
