Circus Drive-In is a historic drive-in restaurant located in Wall Township, New Jersey, United States. Established in 1954, the Circus Drive-In has been a popular local landmark and a symbol of Americana for over six decades.

The Circus Drive-In was founded by William Kayal in 1954. The restaurant was designed to resemble a circus tent, with a large clown sign serving as its iconic symbol. Over the years, the Circus Drive-In became a popular destination for families and tourists, known for its unique atmosphere and classic American fare.

In 2004, the Circus Drive-In was sold to a group of investors who continued to operate the restaurant until 2017. Despite efforts to preserve the historic site, the Circus Drive-In was demolished in 2018.

Cuisine[edit | edit source]

The menu at the Circus Drive-In was known for its classic American drive-in fare. This included items such as hamburgers, hot dogs, french fries, and milkshakes. The restaurant was also known for its signature Circus Burger, a double-decker hamburger with special sauce.

Legacy[edit | edit source]

Despite its demolition, the Circus Drive-In remains a beloved part of local history in Wall Township. The site of the former restaurant is now home to a memorial plaque, commemorating the Circus Drive-In's contribution to the community and its place in American pop culture.
