Clark County is a county located in the southwestern part of the State of Washington, in the United States. It is part of the Portland-Vancouver-Hillsboro, OR-WA Metropolitan Statistical Area, making it a significant area for both states in terms of economic and social activities. The county seat and largest city is Vancouver. Established on August 20, 1845, Clark County is one of the oldest counties in Washington and was named after William Clark of the Lewis and Clark Expedition.
