Clethodim
Clethodim is a selective herbicide used in the management of grass weeds in broadleaf crops. It belongs to the chemical class of cyclohexanediones, which act as inhibitors of acetyl-coenzyme A carboxylase (ACCase), an enzyme essential for fatty acid synthesis in plants. By inhibiting this enzyme, clethodim disrupts lipid biosynthesis, leading to the death of susceptible grass species.
