Coastal erosion is the process by which local sea level rise, strong wave action, and coastal flooding wear away or remove rocks, soil, or sand along coastlines. - Planning and Policy: Implementing zoning laws, building restrictions, and relocation programs can help minimize the impact of coastal erosion on human communities.

As climate change accelerates, sea levels are expected to rise further, and storm patterns may change, increasing the challenge of managing coastal erosion. Adapting to these changes will require innovative approaches, international cooperation, and significant investment in both research and practical solutions.
