Columbio is a municipality located in the province of Sultan Kudarat, Philippines. It is situated in the southern part of Mindanao and is known for its rich cultural heritage and natural beauty. The municipality is home to various indigenous groups, including the Manobo and B'laan tribes.

Columbio is nestled in the heart of the province, surrounded by lush mountains and fertile plains. It is bordered by the municipalities of Lutayan to the north, Palimbang to the south, and Senator Ninoy Aquino to the west. The municipality's total land area spans approximately 300 square kilometers.

The town of Columbio was established on June 18, 1966, through Republic Act No. 4849. It was carved out from the municipality of Lutayan, with the goal of promoting local governance and development in the area. Since its establishment, Columbio has grown into a thriving community with a strong agricultural sector.

As of the 2020 census, Columbio has a population of around 50,000 people. The majority of the residents are indigenous peoples, with the Manobo and B'laan tribes comprising a significant portion of the population. The official language is Filipino, but various indigenous languages are also spoken in the municipality.

Agriculture is the main economic activity in Columbio. The municipality is known for its abundant rice fields, corn plantations, and fruit orchards. Another popular spot is the Tinagong Dagat Cave, a hidden gem tucked away in the mountains. The cave features stunning rock formations and a crystal-clear underground river. Adventurous tourists can go spelunking and marvel at the cave's natural beauty.

Columbio is governed by a mayor and a municipal council. The current mayor is Juan Dela Cruz, who has been serving the municipality since 2016. The local government is committed to promoting sustainable development and preserving the cultural heritage of the indigenous communities.
