Concealer
Concealer is a type of cosmetic that is used to mask dark circles, age spots, large pores, and other small blemishes visible on the skin. It is similar to foundation, but thicker and used to hide different pigments by blending the imperfection into the surrounding skin tone.
Types of Concealer[edit | edit source]
There are several types of concealer. Each type has its specific use and benefits.
- Stick Concealer: This type of concealer is usually semi-solid and provides medium to full coverage. It is best for normal, dry, sensitive, and combination skin types.
- Liquid Concealer: This type of concealer is available in a range of coverage options. It is best for normal, dry, combination, and oily skin types.
- Cream Concealer: This type of concealer is thick and provides full coverage. It is best for normal, dry, combination, and sensitive skin types.
- Compact Concealer: This type of concealer is solid and provides full coverage. It is best for normal, dry, and sensitive skin types.
Application[edit | edit source]
Concealer is often applied with a small brush or the fingertips. A common method is to simply dab it onto the skin and blend it into the surrounding area with the fingertips. Some makeup artists recommend using a small, pointed brush for applying concealer, as it allows for more precise application.
