The Coors Brewing Company is a beer brewing company located in Golden, Colorado, United States. It was founded in 1873 by Adolph Coors and Jacob Schueler. The company is now a subsidiary of the Molson Coors Beverage Company.

  • The Coors Brewing Company was founded in 1873 by Adolph Coors and Jacob Schueler. The company originally brewed a beer called Golden Lager, which became popular in the western United States. In 1880, Coors introduced a second beer, which he named Coors Banquet. Coors Banquet became the company's flagship beer and is still brewed today.
  • During Prohibition in the United States, the Coors Brewing Company survived by producing non-alcoholic malted milk and porcelain products. After Prohibition ended in 1933, the company resumed brewing beer.
  • In the 1950s, the Coors Brewing Company introduced a new beer called Coors Light. Coors Light became popular in the 1970s and 1980s and is now one of the best-selling beers in the United States.
  • In 2005, the Coors Brewing Company merged with Molson to form the Molson Coors Brewing Company. In 2020, Molson Coors changed its name to Molson Coors Beverage Company to reflect its growing portfolio of non-alcoholic beverages.

  • Blue Moon is a Belgian-style wheat beer that is brewed with Valencia orange peel and coriander. It has a 5.4% alcohol content.
