Corixa is a biotechnology company that specializes in the development and commercialization of innovative immunotherapeutics. The company was founded in 1994 and is headquartered in Seattle, Washington. Corixa's primary focus is on the development of products for the treatment of cancer, infectious diseases, and autoimmune disorders.

Corixa was founded in 1994 by Steven Gillis and Christopher Henney. The company was initially focused on the development of vaccines for infectious diseases. However, over time, the company shifted its focus towards the development of immunotherapy treatments for cancer and autoimmune disorders.

In 2005, Corixa was acquired by GlaxoSmithKline, a multinational pharmaceutical company. The acquisition allowed GlaxoSmithKline to strengthen its portfolio of vaccines and immunotherapies.

Corixa has developed a number of products for the treatment of various diseases. These include:

  • BCG Vaccine - A vaccine for the prevention of tuberculosis.
  • Rituxan - A monoclonal antibody used for the treatment of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
  • Leukine - A growth factor used to stimulate the production of white blood cells in patients undergoing chemotherapy.
