Corners are often reinforced with corner beads in drywall construction or with corner bricks in masonry construction.

In two dimensions, a corner is formed by two lines intersecting at a point. In three dimensions, a corner is formed by three planes intersecting at a point.
Sports[edit | edit source]
In sports, a corner refers to a specific area of a playing field or court. In soccer, for example, a corner kick is awarded when the ball goes out of bounds over the goal line, last touched by a defender, and a goal was not scored. The kick is taken from the corner of the field nearest to where the ball went out of bounds.
