Crave is a Canadian subscription video on demand service owned by Bell Media. It offers a wide range of television series, movies, and original programming. Crave was launched in December 2014 and has since become one of the leading streaming services in Canada.

History[edit | edit source]

Crave was initially launched as "CraveTV" on December 11, 2014. It was originally available only to subscribers of participating television providers. In January 2016, CraveTV became available to all Canadians with an internet connection, regardless of their television provider. In November 2018, Crave underwent a significant rebranding and expansion. The service dropped the "TV" from its name and introduced new subscription tiers, including access to content from HBO, Showtime, and Starz. This rebranding aimed to position Crave as a direct competitor to other streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.
