Crockett County is a county located on the Edwards Plateau in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2010 census, its population was 3,719. The county seat is Ozona. The county was founded in 1875 and later organized in 1891. It is named in honor of Davy Crockett, the legendary frontiersman who died at the Battle of the Alamo.

Crockett County is situated in the Edwards Plateau region of Texas, with its terrain consisting of rugged hills and fertile valleys. The county has a total area of 2,807 square miles (7,270 km2), of which 2,807 square miles (7,270 km2) is land and 0.7 square miles (1.8 km2) (0.02%) is water.

As of the 2010 United States Census, there were 3,719 people residing in the county. The racial makeup of the county was 76.8% White, 1.3% Black or African American, 0.7% Native American, 0.5% Asian, 0.1% Pacific Islander, 18.9% from other races, and 1.7% from two or more races. 53.2% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
