Cuphophyllus virgineus
Cuphophyllus virgineus, commonly known as the snowy waxcap, is a species of fungus belonging to the family Hygrophoraceae. This mushroom is notable for its distinctive white coloration and its occurrence in grasslands, where it forms symbiotic relationships with living grass roots in a mycorrhizal association. The flesh of the mushroom is white and does not change color when cut.
