D. J. Williams
D. J. Williams (born September 10, 1988) is a former American football tight end who played in the National Football League (NFL). Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, Williams attended Central High School where he excelled in football. He played college football at the University of Arkansas, where he was recognized as a top tight end in the nation, winning the John Mackey Award in 2010.
Early Life and High School[edit | edit source]
Williams was born in Little Rock, Arkansas. He attended Central High School in Little Rock, where he was a standout player on the school's football team. His performance in high school earned him several college scholarships offers.
College Career[edit | edit source]
Williams attended the University of Arkansas, where he played for the Arkansas Razorbacks football team from 2007 to 2010. During his college career, he was known for his excellent receiving skills and blocking abilities. In 2010, he won the John Mackey Award, given annually to the nation's best collegiate tight end.
Professional Career[edit | edit source]
Williams was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the fifth round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He played with the Packers for two seasons before joining other NFL teams including the Jacksonville Jaguars, New England Patriots, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Throughout his NFL career, Williams was utilized primarily as a blocking tight end and special teams player.

After retiring from professional football, Williams has been involved in various activities, including charitable work and public speaking, focusing on sports and youth mentorship.
