Daisy Ridley
Daisy Jazz Isobel Ridley (born 10 April 1992) is an English actress. She is best known for her role as Rey in the Star Wars sequel trilogy.
Early Life[edit | edit source]
Daisy Ridley was born in Westminster, London, England. She is the youngest of three daughters born to Louise Fawkner-Corbett and Chris Ridley. Ridley attended Tring Park School for the Performing Arts in Hertfordshire, where she developed her passion for acting.
Career[edit | edit source]
Early Work[edit | edit source]
Ridley began her acting career with minor roles in television series such as "Casualty" and "Silent Witness." She also appeared in short films and stage productions.
Breakthrough with Star Wars[edit | edit source]
In 2014, Ridley was cast as the lead character Rey in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," directed by J.J. Abrams. The film was released in 2015 and marked her breakthrough into international stardom. She reprised her role in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" (2017) and "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" (2019).

Apart from her work in the Star Wars franchise, Ridley has appeared in films such as "Murder on the Orient Express" (2017) and "Ophelia" (2018). She has also lent her voice to the animated film "Peter Rabbit" (2018).
