Decipol is a unit of measurement used in the field of indoor air quality to quantify the perceived air quality in indoor environments. It was introduced by the Danish researcher P.O. Fanger in the 1980s as a way to objectively measure how the presence of air pollutants affects human perception of indoor air quality. The term "decipol" is derived from the words "deci-", meaning one-tenth, and "pol", an abbreviation for pollution, indicating that it is a measure of pollution level.

One decipol is defined as the perceived air quality level in a space where there is a pollution source equivalent to one adult person at a standard activity level, with a ventilation rate of 10 liters per second. The concept of decipol is based on the olf, another unit introduced by Fanger, which quantifies the emission rate of air pollutants by occupants, building materials, and activities.
