History[edit | edit source]

Disrupt was formed in 1987 by Pete Kamarinos and Jay Stiles. The band went through numerous lineup changes throughout its existence, with Kamarinos and Stiles being the only constant members. Disrupt's music was characterized by its fast tempos, short song durations, and a blend of punk and metal influences.

The band released several EPs and split albums with other bands, gaining a reputation for their intense live performances and uncompromising stance on social and political issues. Disrupt's lyrics often addressed topics such as animal rights, anti-capitalism, and environmentalism.
