Dmitry Berestov
Dmitry Vladimirovich Berestov (born October 13, 1980) is a retired Russian weightlifter. He is best known for winning the gold medal in the men's +105 kg category at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece.

Dmitry Berestov was born in Moscow, Russia. He began weightlifting at a young age and quickly rose through the ranks in the national weightlifting circuits.
Olympic Career[edit | edit source]
At the 2004 Summer Olympics, Berestov competed in the +105 kg category. He lifted a total of 472.5 kg, which secured him the gold medal. His victory was notable as it came in a highly competitive field.
Post-Olympic Career[edit | edit source]
After his Olympic success, Berestov continued to compete in various international competitions but never replicated his Olympic success. He eventually retired from competitive weightlifting.
