Dolutegravir/lamivudine/tenofovir alafenamide is a fixed-dose combination of antiretroviral drugs used in the treatment of HIV/AIDS. This combination is marketed under the brand name Dovato by ViiV Healthcare, a specialist HIV company majority owned by GlaxoSmithKline.

Dolutegravir/lamivudine/tenofovir alafenamide is used as a complete regimen for the treatment of HIV-1 infection in adults who have no antiretroviral treatment history or to replace the current antiretroviral regimen in those who are virologically suppressed (HIV-1 RNA less than 50 copies per mL) on a stable antiretroviral regimen with no history of treatment failure and no known substitutions associated with resistance to the individual components of this drug.

Side Effects[edit | edit source]

Common side effects include headache, diarrhea, nausea, fatigue and insomnia. Serious side effects may include liver problems, kidney problems, lactic acidosis, severe skin rash and allergic reactions.
